Let’s Learn to be a Helpless one . . .

Martin E. Seligman is the author of this Learned Helplessness theory. He started his experiment with a dog as his subject, and found this theory accidentally.

Learned Helplessness is a condition resulting from the perception that we have no control over our environment. Here is a sample of video about Learned Helplessness, which is also had been applied by Psikita in the Personality Class at Faculty of Psychology, University of North Sumatera.

There are 3 aspects which were being affected by this Learned Helplessness:

1. Emotion

2. Motivation

3. Cognition
