Troxler’s Effect

Simply stare at the center of these pictures for 20-30 seconds, and you will see that the colour surrounding the center will dissappear by itself:

This phenomenon is called as Troxler’s Effect or Troxler’s Fading.

It was first discovered by Ignaz Paul Vital Troxler in 1804.
